The summit prices are:

EFB Programme
3rd and 4th of October

These prices might be subject to Italian 22% VAT.

The EFB programme finishes on October 4th with a lunch. All the activities taking place after this lunch are part of the AIDAF programme, including the Alberto Falck Award 2024 Ceremony.

The registration of a companion only to the Gala Dinner on October 3 or to the ‘Alberto Falck Award 2024’ ceremony on October 4will incur an additional cost of 145€.

The registration of a companion to both the Gala Dinner on October 3 and the ‘Alberto Falck Award 2024’ ceremony on October 4 will incur an additional cost of 200€.

The attendance to the optional activity for spouses on October 4 will incur an additional cost of 95€ per person.

The attendance to the optional NextGen activity on October 5 will incur an additional cost for the dinner that will be communicated when the agenda of the day is confirmed.

The attendance to the optional cultural activity on October 5 afternoon will incur an additional cost of 80€ per person.

To uphold the exclusivity of the European Family Business Summit, the events are only for family business owners and their direct relatives. Registrations from non-family businesses will be declined. The organisation beholds all rights to avert any registration at all times.

Payments

Upon your registration you will receive a summary email from the Organizing Secretary Zeroseicongressi s.r.l. Once that your member status has been checked, they will send you the corresponding invoice. To formalize your registration, you must make the payment within 15 days of receiving the invoice. Otherwise, your registration will be cancelled.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be received via email not later than July 31, 2024. For cancellations received before this date, we will refund 25% of the registration fee after the Summit. No refunds can be made for cancellations received after this date.

On October 3rd, EFB and AIDAF will host a Gala Dinner at the magnificent Villa Miani.

Built at the end of the nineteenth century on the top of Monte Mario, touching the dome of San Pietro, it offers the widest and most exclusive view of the city. A vast tree-lined park and Italian gardens highlight its neoclassical façades and complete, with terraces and courtyards, the large interiors made up of over 3000m2 of halls generously furnished with frescoes and precious marbles.

Payments

Upon your pre-registration you will receive a proforma invoice via email with our banking details. Payments will be made by bank transfer exclusively.

In order to finish your registration process, please send the bank transfer proof to the email address amontoto@europeanfamilybusinesses.eu within 3 days from the registration date. You will receive the final invoice once the payment has been received.

All registrations will be checked to uphold the exclusivity of the event.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be received via email by June 1, 2022. Cancellations received before June 1, 2022, will be subject to a 120€ administration fee. No refunds can be made for cancellations received after this date.

UDO J. VETTER

Udo J. Vetter studied clinical pharmacy at the University of Seattle. After university, he worked for five years as a pharmacist at the pharma firm Schering-Plough Corp. (Now Merck & Co. Inc.) and set up production facilities in Puerto Rico. Subsequently, he was, among other things, Vice President for licensing and production at Martec Inc., and President of Vetter Pharma-Turm Inc. Since 1987, he holds various senior management positions at Vetter. Moreover, Udo J. Vetter is chairman of the board of the Vetter Pharma since 2008. He is the chairman of Isotope Technologies Munich SE (ITM) and board member of Gland in India.

In 2003, he established the investment company UV-Cap. Udo J. Vetter is a member of the expert association GPMLF of the International Society of Pharmaceutical Engineering (ISPE) and since 2019 he is President of European Family Businesses (EFB).

Former Member of the European Parliament

MARTINA DLABAJOVÁ 

Martina Dlabajová is a Czech politician, entrepreneur and international consultant. From 2014 to 2024, she was a Member of the European Parliament. She worked on the Committee on Industry, Research and Energy, led the SME Intergroup and chaired the Renew Europe SME Taskforce. She initiated the creation of the Intergroup for Creative Industries and was appointed its Vice-President. As an MEP, she focused mainly on SMEs, family businesses, creative industries, digitalisation and research & innovation. Martina Dlabajová is a great supporter of young people and is the author of several projects aimed at motivating the younger generation.

Before joining the European Parliament, Martina Dlabajová was President of the Regional Chamber of Commerce of the Zlin Region in the Czech Republic (2012–2014). She also founded and managed several companies in the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Italy.

Education
He studied Economics and Business Sciences at the University of the Basque Country (UPV-EHU) from 1982 to 1987 and later completed his studies at the London Business School and the IESE Business School.

Professional experience
Javier Ormazabal has developed his professional career in the Velatia family-owned business. After 3 years of experience in different departments, he took the reins of the company while leading its international expansion. Subsequently, while retaining his role as the company’s CEO, he personally oversaw market management until his promotion to the position of president in 2012.


He is President of Orgalim (Federation of Europe's technology industries); a founding member of Aefame (Basque Association of Family Businesses), where he held the position of president for 4 years (2015-2019); and a member of the Board of Directors of the Basque Business Circle, of which he was its president from 2018 to 2021.
He combines the activity of the above positions with his participation in the governing bodies of companies, associations and institutions of recognised prestige, such as: the Biscayan Federation of Metal Companies (FVEM), the BBVA Northern Regional Advisory Board, the Novia Salcedo Foundation, the Alejandro Echevarría Foundation and the El Enebro Advisory Board.

On the other hand, in the past, he held the presidency of Tecnalia Research and Innovation for six years, participated as a member of the Advisory Council for Science, Technology and Innovation of the Spanish Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness and was a member of the Board of Directors of the Energy Cluster.

Different institutions and organisations have recognised Javier Ormazabal for his work, professional career and achievements, among others:

In 2010, the Basque Government awarded Javier Ormazabal the "LAN ONARI" distinction. A title that recognises people who have distinguished themselves in an extraordinary way for their dedication, perseverance and spirit of initiative in the performance of their professional activity.

The European Business School ESEUNE awarded him the title of "Master Honoris Causa (MBA)" in 2011, for his contribution to the economic and business structure.

In 2016, the University of the Basque Country named Javier Ormazabal "Honorary Professor".

JESÚS CASADO NAVARRO-RUBIO  

 

 

Jesús Casado is a leading expert in Family Business.

In 2006 he was appointed Secretary General of European Family Businesses, a federation of 154 National Family Businesses associations based in Brussels. EFB aims to promote policies that are conductive to long term entrepreneurship in Europe. Its members, more than 9.000 family business owners, represent directly a turnover in excess of one trillion Euros, 9% of the European GDP.  

Since May 2014, he is also Deputy Director General of Instituto de la Empresa Familiar, the Spanish Family Business Association where he started working in 2001. IEF represents around 100 family business owners, 17% of the Spanish GDP.

In 2018 Jesús became a Member of the Advisory Group at Llorente y Cuenca, the leading Spanish Public Relations and Communications agency.

Jesús Casado has also been a member of the Board of the Family Firm Institute and a member of the Executive Committee of the Family Business Network (FBN), present in more than 40 countries.

The experience gathered in this field led to his appointment as a member of the European Commission Expert Group on Family Business (2008-2009) and of the High Level Group of Administrative Burdens (3rd mandate Jan 2013-Oct 2014) (reporting directly to the President of the European Commission). Jesús Casado is also an Academic Collaborator at ESADE and member of the Board of the Masfamilia Foundation and Navarro-Rubio Foundation.

Jesús Casado holds a MBA at ESADE Business School (2006-2007), a degree in Law (1989/1994) at Universidad Pontificia de Comillas ICADE (Madrid) and a Master in Systemic Therapy and Consulting (2007-2008) by Systemic SCT (NLP)

He completed his education with post-graduate studies at Eberhard Karls Universität Tübingen (Germany) (1994), at the Spanish Diplomatic School (1995/1998) and at Institut de Sciences Politiques de Paris (1997). 

He is married and has one child.
